Wa aint the phish biton this week?

I have been fishing 2 or 3 times a week for the past month in the same area (Alligator Harbor) and the last week the bite has been way off for me. Is it me, the moon, weak tide, too much bait, moon phase, not enough wind, elneneo (sp?). I enjoy going out even when I dont catch many but am curious if this has been true for anyone else and why the bite is off (If in fact it is??). Lit....you must have an opinion on this?
One other question....When a cat slimes your line, should you change leader and lure?
