What is your favorite hook to use with the gulp baits?
Been trying to find a wide gag hook style. found a bayside lead head jig with a red hook, have not tried it yet but will try it this weekend.

Take a look at the Bass Pro Shops Standup jig heads. They have a good wide gap hook, and are much more reasonable than other large hooked jig heads.

I use the strike king flats jig heads alot, they have an extremely wide gap hook. I usually use them with the strike king trout tubes but they work well with other larger soft plastics, maybe the larger gulp shrimps. Oh yeah, they are extremely sharp hooks, many times I will snag small bait fish nibbling on my bait with it, it will hook them throught the sides and face. The jig can be too large for small trout, but its great for larger trout.

I use three different brands currently, the DOA 1/16 and 1/8 jig heads and the Bass Assassin jighead in 1/16 ounce
The Bass Assassin is about a 1/4 inch longer and helps in hooking those short strikers.
I also like High Tide hooks with a long shank and the eye is turned sideways for good movement, and the plastic stays on really well.
