23 specs, some real nice slabs, and one speckle cat.
As much fun to eat as they are to catch!

I WENT OVER THURS. AFTERNOON TO TRY OUT MY TROLLIN MOTOR, WHILE I WAS THERE THE CLOUDS CAME OVER, I DECIDED TO TRY MY LUCK ON SOME BASS. I HAD SEEN SEVERAL STRIKING DOWN ONE OF THE BOAT LANES. ENDED UP WITH 3 NICE BASS BETWEEN 3-5 #. CAUGHT THEM ON A BUZZZ BAIT, RAKING IT AS FAST AS I COULD DOWN THE MIDDLE OF THE BOAT LANE.

Wevans we hit the water about 7 am, leaving by 9 am. They had a feeding frenzy this morn.
Yesterday my spec fishing pard went alone and caught 12, way bigger than we were getting this morn. He had a 2.5 lb slab that actually broke his ultrlight rod in two, but still landed him.
Futch you have convinced me to try that buzzbait thang, cause that's twice you have reported good catches with it.!
I just love thick spec filets fried up, cole slaw, puppies and fries!
(and some sliced onion)

I found out by multiple trips of trial and error, trial and error....

I've been twice lately, done well both times.....The trick is cut out the errors. Thought we might compare notes. If the weather passes off I'll be there this evening using my successful ............................

. Good fishing

So....Welby....you needed no direction, heh?
Are you also ketchin' specs, or basses, or brimfs?
If you go there it soon becomes obvious "where" to fish. It's the "method" and "bait" that makes the difference I've found.
Like the other morn when my pard went alone, a fellow was using live minnows. I heard he had 25, and caught 26 specs.....sitting in one spot....but the size was lacking.
I likes'em bigger!

Like I said, I've only been twice and I've only caught the specs and a few fliers. I did sneak 1 bass out on a plastic worm. Doesn't look like this evening is going to pan out...Maybe I'll see you down there sometime soon..
