Well between your rentals and my willingness to go along "just in case" You are going to have several more regular customers. My workmates caught on very quickly and seemed to really enjoy themselves.
I left the group early since had some honey do's to do .

I didnt realize that sheephead came so far up the river wonder if they are catchable.

Its been so long since I have been on the Wakulla I had forgotten just what a really beautiful river it is. I was glad to see that there wasnt hardly any trash floating around.

I've seen sheepshead, and some nice ones, recently, up as far as Upper Bridge. Haven't tried fishing for 'em, though.

But here's a stringer from last November, put in at the Fort and took out at Lower Bridge.

The sheepie hit that Snagless Sally just like the red did a few casts later.

You know I never ever thought to try artificials on sheephead. I read recently that they will hit flies occasionally. Would love to catch some though. Think when it gets colder I will stay away from the St. Marks and get to know the Wakulla better (less boat traffic between the bridges and after my experience this summer thats a definate consideration.)

So anyone out there have any suggestions for river sheephead? Also saw a rather largde black fish with barely a hint of wide white stripes (actually grey) didnt look like a sheephead but what else could it have been?
