Officer Monty Hinkle was performing a vessel inspection on Dead River when another boater approached and asked if he could purchase a beer. When the man realized he had just made his request in front of an officer, he stated, “Oh. You’re a cop. I need to go.â€

I just emailed this to my Son in Kuwait and the other in Oklahoma city... we made a trip or two back and forth between the lakes on dead river when they was youngn's.

That river is a parade of boats in the summer. Lots of good scenery but lots of idiots too. It's a great place to hang out if your a water cop. You could give "no wake" citations all day long.
