Started out catching 2 big jacks on TW by the lighthouse. Fun, but no reds...
Landed 3 trout in very shallow water. Caught 2 on topwater and one on Chalk's secret lure that BD told me about
, 17-20". Had another mongo that missed again.....geez louise!
Found 2 schools of reds in 12 to 20" of water and was able to sight fish them while it lasted they would turn, follow and nail my spoon, all 22-24" reds. One school of overslot reds were "mucking", twisting and turning in the grass, and all they would do give passing interest to a topwater bait, but had no interest in anything esle. Had this happen before, perhaps a fly would interest them.... crabbing I guess?
Landed 4 reds, all sight fished though, which was fantastic. Lost 2 others that were on.
