fishin on my mind....

An ole fishin buddy and I, went out this past thursday morning. We put in at the fort and went East out to I believe "St. Marks reef" ....anyhow we caught some throw-backs.. then hooked into and caught a 31' Cobia 
sweet ... but ofcourse we turned'em lose to go back an grow alittle more 
.... Just a short while later I hooked into a monster, that sucker light up my reel now understanding I only had 18 pd test... Yes, I did have a good steel leader on it but I let him run awhile 
then at each optune moment I reeled .... after bout 3-4 turns on the reel , my confidence grew !! then.... WHEE.......it would light up harder than ever (we were in 20 or so ft deep) and because of the way he ran, my find an I figure him to be a nice grouper After 15 minutes of fight, I felt a "POP" he broke my line 
all that was left on that reel was so streched-out, wouldn't fish another day !!
Definetly a good way to break this new boat in
