Hub question..

I've got grease slinging out from the hub and a buddy told me I added to much grease and busted the seal. I've got bearing buddies (1 yr old) on the hub which are spring loaded so I don't think I over greased it. My grease is not white but yet it slings it so there has got to be a way for water to get in. Any ideas?

Your buddy may be correct. Even with the spring loaded bearing buddys, if you over fill them, it will push the seal out of the hub. If the grease is being slung on the back side of the wheel, pull the wheel and replace the seal. When adding grease to the bearing buddys, as soon as the spring starts to compress, stop.

John is right. The Bearing Buddy system does not have a weep hole. they use a double spring rear seal if it comes from the trailer builder. If you added the Bearing Buddys you have standard seals.
for what it is worth. I would replace them with the ones that have a weep hole. When you apply grease and the unit is full a little great snake starts to come out. Now being a bulldawg I know you would stop then. wipe off the exces grease, put the bra on and then use electric tape on the bra. You will not have any problems then.
