Anyone ever done any bream or catfishing near Newport on the river?If so hows the fishing up there and the river conditions?Id apperciate any info never fished up there and lookin for a new spot close to home to take pops and my son.

fishman, somebody else with more recent experience can tell you more but all I remember about the SM is stumpknockers.

very pretty river though and worth the trip just for that.
