Nice Red! Doesn't look like you had to paddle too far for that one.

Yeah Jeff was the man today. I was not even near him when his red hit and I heard it smash his top water. I mean it was loud! I knew it was going to be a nice fish. It's been a few years since I fished St Marks, its a special place. Might go back in the morn. Way to go Jeff!

We went out at first light, nice calm no wind kinda day where
the mosqiuto's were thick as corn on a cob. I was fishing
with topwater skitterwalk when one of Gods finest fish took
two short nibbles at the topwater plug. I picked up the pace
and he came over the top and did a belly flop on top of the
water and engulfed the entire plug in his mouth. Pulled me
around in two feet of incoming near high tide. I was impressed
with the number of runs he took toward and away from my boat.
I plowed my yak into the grass, and took photos for an online
fishing contest on http://www.jaxkayakfishing.com and then Steve
took two glory shots for my collection. I disengaged him from
the hooks with Steve's miraculous dehooker and spent about
4-5 minutes reviving him for running condition. Caught a
few more that day on topwater, and caught a few trout on
white plastics.
