Quick run of the calculator shows that if Bud had fished with Eerman he would be within 46 points of Jumptrout51....two tournaments left...handicapped or not...looks like Cleopheous might be the new king

Remember we are using the best 9 scores. SR can't afford to miss another one. In fact it could all change in the last 2 tournaments. We are going to continue the redfish bonus for the next 2 events.

Are you only allowed to keep 1 Trout per person for the day? Can you not catch more for the freezer?

Appreciate the thought ... but a quick run of the calculator before the tournament showed that I was 37 points out of even second place anyway I looked at it (behind Butch). Got to admit that when it comes to fishing against Butch and Steve over the remaining 3 tournaments, I couldn't see myself making up those kind of points even if I finished ahead of them.... which I didn't consider that big of a hill to climb :smt015 The point standings can be a bit miss leading once the 9 best finishes rule is applied. I was in second place only because I'd fished more tournaments than Butch. :o However, he has higher finishes if you compare the same number of tornaments between the two of us. Couldn't bring myself to do the travel'n and spend'n just to see if Butch or Steve hurt their back again. :-D There are a lot of outstanding fisher people in the club. The points standing doesn't tell the whole story :D Believe me, it was not easy and I struggled with bowing out after fishing all the tournaments to this point. (just ask Eerman :smt010 ) I know there are some folks who are happy with the location changes and moving around.... I made the trip to Keaton and Port Saint Joe earlier in the year when some of those folks weren't participating...and now I am just having problems justifying the expense that I would have incurred to participate again. As far as not fishing Saint Marks all the time.... I have to say.... I could fish the Saint Marks for the next 10 years and still not cover all the areas and learn all that there is to know about the area. I hope this is taken in the context that it is intended. I'm not bashing the club, it's officers, or other members. I'm just trying to answer those who've been ask'n (What's the matter with Sir Reel!)

10th place is worth 41 points, Rocket. If you had brought in any other species of fish, you would have gotten 5 more bonus points.
