On the water at 0645. Went to my daylight spot. Hooked up on the second cast. First fish of the day.............5 pounds. 30 minutes later, a 14" keeper. The next fish didn't come until around 1100. 16". Caught one more at around 1400. Another 14" fish. Four fish on four different spots. Not much of a pattern. I may have to hit 20 spots in the tournament Sunday. :-?

HEY JOHN, THAT SOUNDS LIKE A PRETTY GOOD CATCH CONSIDERIN HOW HOT IT HAS GOTTEN AGAIN.
I WENT OVER TO SEMINOLE LAST WEEK, STILL TRYIN TO BREAK IN THE NEW LITTLE 3 1/2 JOHNSON MY SON GAVE ME, I DECIDED TO DROP A COUPLE OF RATTLE TRAPS OVER AND SEE IF ANYTHING WAS AROUND, CAUGHT SOME NICE SPECS AND A COUPLE OF SMALL BASS. THE LITTLE KICKER ONLY HOLDS 1.6 QUARTS OF GAS, I HAVE RUN THAT THING NOW FOR ALMOST 10 HOURS AND STILL HAVE ABOUT 1/4 TANK OF GAS LEFT. I WILL BE GLAD WHEN IT ALL RUNS OUT SO I CAN OPEN IT UP AND SEE HOW FAST IT WILL PUSH THE OLD STARCRAFT. THAT THING JUST DOES NOT USE ANY GAS AT ALL.

We fished from safe daylight until 4, yesterday. Put my first fish in the boat in the first 10 minutes. A decent 2.5 lb. fish. Caught 2 more shorts in the same area. When the sun got up a little, we moved out and proceeded to hit the spots I caught fish on Friday. NADA! My next bite came at around 11. I had just retied, and I have to assume I burned the line while tying the knot, because thats where the line broke on the hook set. :-? Boated my second keeper at 3:45. A 2.65 lb. fish.

I was a little slow, mentally, yesterday. (I'm sure y'all will have fun with that statement) It took me until around 2:30 to determine the fish I had found Friday had moved, and I was fishing the wrong pattern. However, in self defense, no one had a banner day. My 2 fish were good enough for a 4th place finish. Yesterday's winner had 4 fish, totaling 11 pounds.
