I'm just curious as to which knots all of you prefer to use with the different lines available. I'm pretty partial to clinch and palomar knots myself. Anyone only use crimps?

Uni and palomar are about all I use.

Sometimes a cinch on light weight line.

Uni, Palomar, Surgeon's Loop, uni-to-uni...

Been trying that loop knot but don't have it down 100% yet.

I have been tying the same knot since around 4th grade. (1974)

I don't know what it is called....I twist the line about 6 or 7 times wet it and run it back through the loop at the hook. It has always works great.

My line is Berkley Big Game (Dark Green) 12lb. and 15lb.

Uni, with the number of turns determined by lb. test and application, but normally six turns for tying on lures, four turns for line to reel spool, two turns for leader to fly (it's the same knot as the two-wrap hangman's knot), etc.

Uni knot and back to back uni knots for leader to line connections.

Use a variation of the Mirrolure knot for loops on topwater plugs.

Have a knot I use on heavy leader, (80-100 lb) that I got from a mate on a charter boat. Hard to describe and I've never seen it in a diagram..holds great though.Use it for a terminal knot.
