COBIA BOAT

Post by FUTCHCAIRO »

HEY REDBELLY, THOSE COBIA BOATS ARE BUILT LIKE A BATTLESHIP. THEY ARE HEAVIER THAN MOST GLASS BOATS, A 70 HP JOHNYRUDE OR YAMIE WOULD BE ALRIGHT BUT A 115 WOULD BE A LOT BETTER. THE 70 JOHNYRUDE WILL RUN FOR EVER. I HAD ONE THAT I SOLD A WHILE BACK AND IT HAD ABOUT 3,000 HOURS ON IT WITHOUT ANY TROUBLE. I HAD TO REPLACE THE POWER PACK JUST BEFORE I SOLD IT.

It is a 15' trihull. Obviously an older boat, with the 70hp motor being an early 90's Nissan with T&T.

Anybody ever seen a Mako trihull?

I'm going to look at it monday.

Do yourself a favor, save your time and money. When Mako made that boat, they were still using wood stingers.Go for a little later model as well
as a little longer.I used to own a '78 Mako 20. Deck was getting a little soft when I sold in '94, thats when I had the Maverick built. Still have the Greenbone and not looking to replace it.
