I'm looking for a used, well maintained aluminum tunnel in the 16-17ft range. Common boats that meet my criteria include the Xpress 1650T, Alumacraft 1650T, G3 1756T. and the Sea Ark 1652T, although I'm certainly open to others. I had planned to go the custom route, but the options are extremely limited in Florida. Basically, I'm looking for a good hull/outboard combination that I can customize to meet my shallow water needs. It doesn't have to be pretty. A poling platform would definitely be a plus, but I can add it later if need be. My searches online have come up empty for the most part...with the popularity of tunnel hulls in this area, I figured I might find something locally. TeamWeldBilt went out of business about 5-6 months ago. I had seriously considered ordering a boat from them...they built the nicest aluminum flats skiff I've seen.
