Talk about a bad day at the ramp :o

I once pulled up to the City marina at Fernadina and started to back my boat down. A guy was sitting on the bench and he started waving at me. I stopped and asked him what was the matter. He said I needed to move over, because those bubbles on that side of the ramp were coming from his truck. I asked where his boat was and he pointed to the end of the dock, where I could see a boat sitting funny in the water. When he saw how I looked at it, he said he had forgotten to take off his safety straps and the trailer was hanging down below the boat. Before I left the marina a wrecker showed up and pulled him out. I offered to take him fishing with my group, but he said he didn't have the heart to go that day.

That was one sad site and it served as a lesson to me.

Chalk, it's a good thing you got rid of your Ford Ranger. If an 11' whaler will pull a Ranger down the ramp, especially on it's MAIDEN VOYAGE, imagine what the Ghost would do. :smt005 :smt005
