I got invited to bottom fish with some friends today.
Went out of Alligator Point and fished in about 60'
Great calm day- not as rough as some days in the bay.
Caught fish on live pin fish and cut bait.
Had great action all day but had to throw a number of reds back.

In the box on the way home-
4 keeper Reds, 4 keeper gags.
A bunch of Sea Bass and Key West Grunts

It made this flats fisherman Happy!!

Thanks to Dolphinatic for loaning me a couple of rigs- I couldn't have gone out with my Trout Rod!!

Them trout rods will keep grouper too......last trip out we caught a 26' gag on a spinning reel with 12 lb. test :o Took a while to get it in, but the fight was well worth it !!!!! We'll try it again sometime soon.....
