Lanark & the Dog - 11.01.06

After cancelling my trip last Saturday because of the front that came through, and the sketchy looking weather coming this weekend, I couldn't resist taking a mental health day after looking at the forecast for Wednesday - and for once, NOAA actually got it right. There was a little wind early on, but it died down after a couple of hours and the rest of the day was clear and calm. CED and I fished around Dog Island and Lanark. Reds were abundant, and fairly happy. Came across plenty that spooked, but there were still some that wanted to play. The wind was so calm today, I finally had a chance to get some fish on the 6 wt., which was a blast. Had a couple sheepshead show a bit of interest in the fly, but as usual, no takers.
Here's a few contestants from Wednesday's episode of The Fly is Right.......
