Input on Paddling Trail Campsites?

Public comment sought on paddling trail campsites
The Florida Office of Greenways and Trails has embarked on a project to establish a sea kayaking trail around the entire state. As part of the Florida Circumnavigation Saltwater Paddling Trail, which should be completed in about two years, the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge plans three primitive campsites along the 40-mile segment within the refuge.
Two of these locations, the Ring Dike campsite and the Pinhook campsite, are already established campsites for the Florida National Scenic Trail. A third site is located on a spoil island within the St. Marks River.
Public comment is invited on the proposed campsites. Please send written comments between Nov. 15, 2006 and Dec. 15, 2006 to the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge, P.O. Box 68, St. Marks, FL 32355. E-mail: saintmarks@fws.gov.
