East Apalachee Bay, 11-10

Fished falling tide yesterday, went out about 0730 and found water very low. Had one keeper trout and a nice flounder at the mouth, tried to find deeper water and had to go a long way out to find 3 ft. No trout but got 2 more big flounder and some short black bass with 1 10'' bass mixed in. Lots of lizardfish everywhere, could hardly throw a plug without catching one. Tide low, low at 12 noon, found some sandbars way out on the flats I didn't know were there but floated over them all.
Got another good trout on a redfin about 1 pm, then nothing for a while. Water not moving much and no bite. Finally at 1 pm, water moving in and got 2 more trout and more shortbass. Moved further east at 2 pm and stared getting more fish, ended up with 10 good trout, 3 big flounders and a bass. Got most of fish on new penney gulp fished straight and chatreuse curly tail grubs with a gulp strip on the hook. I used 1/8 oz. heads due to floating grass being so bad. The closer in we got on rising tide the bigger the trout and better they bit. Quit at 1530 , lots of boats at landing and some guys just going out. Cleaned the fish after dark under lights, was pooped after being up since 0430. Can't wait til next time though.
