A man canoeing on the Nahoon River in London, South Africa, decided to be helpful when he noticed a fisherman on shore struggling to reel in a huge fish.
So Richard Tebbutt dived in and grabbed the fish by the tail - only to discover it was a Zambezi shark and it was going after him.
The 5-foot creature grabbed Tebbutt's left arm and lacerated it before Tebbutt beat it off and made it to shore. It took 50 stitches to close his wound.
