Went by Jerry's, saw Tom and went to the buffet, got in the water around 8:00 at the LH with my daughter and a nephew.

Main battery turned the starter over a couple of times then gave up, backup (charged fully yesterday) gave a good spurt and then wouldn't do anything more

Operated on the connections with no positive results. Good thing the wind wasn't blowing since we paddled back to the trailer with the landing net and big minnow net.

We'll see how tomorrow goes!

Did you go swimming? A little chilly for that this morning.

Though day when batteries give up on you. The one in my truck died last week, had to get a jump when we got back to Lanark in order to load the boat on the trailer.

Were you in the Carolina Skiff?

Yes, AJ fortunately we were in the CS.
The net paddles did the trick.
Funny, it was 12/31 when I told myself I needed a push pole... now I have more proof that is a good idea.

Rod Bow, you do realize that the law requires you to either have a paddle or a pole on board a small vessel don't you. One more incentive to go and get you a pole.

Time to start Cranking that boat up before you leave home 8) . My neighbors know when I am fishing, I fire that boat up the night before just to make sure she will run when I get to the ramp.

Actually it does not require it. It suggests that you have one.
