Well the FSU game didn't turn out so great but I had a fun weekend anyway.
Dove Hunted near Blountstown Friday evening with some family friends.
11 Birds- one banded dove.

My friend shot most of them- But the evening was beautiful and there were birds.
Duck Hunted near Lake Miccosukee with one of my Uncles
12 birds by 7:30 this morning. Woodies, Blue and Green Wing Teal and Ringnecks
Had one weird double. Two teal came into the deeks. I dropped the first and swung to the second.
Pop, Pop- he keeps flying.
My Uncle shots Pop, Pop- He keeps flying.
I drop a 4th shell into the gun and drop him just before he gets out of range!
As you guys are beginning to tell- the fishing takes a back seat during Hunting season!
Do you think if I post enough Tom might add a hunting area?

Great hunts. I was sitting in the deer stand listening to all of the shooting at (near) the lake on Saturday morning wondering why I didn't go duck hunting. It is really hard right now with the rut in full swing, ducks on the pond and fishing this is still great. GOOD JOB

Good going bman! I heard a few shots at Iamonia this morn. Saw 6 teal jet by about 1 foot over the water.
I do like to shoot some ducks. And dove hunting is fun too.
Access is the key to those endeavours.
But I make sure I have turkey hunting opportunities!

Spent $50 this afternoon on a dove hunt west of Camilla. Pulled the trigger 3 times

.
Guess it works out like that sometimes, but it shore don't make the pill easier to swallow.
I should add that this was the first time I have taken my oldest (4 y.o.), and that made the trip worth it!!! I wasn't sure how he would react when the 12ga sounded off but he was a trooper. Did not bother him a bit. While the hunting was very slow, he passed the time throwing peanuts, and spent shells, and "shot" haybales with his gun (capgun). Can't wait to take him again.
P.S. Sorry to hijack your thread Bman

Some really nice mixed hunting.
Is it my imagination , or is it a good year for ducks there ?
Most of the reports I am reading are of full limits and short sessions.
