Slept in and wanted to enjoy my last day of vacation. Slipped the old boat in at the Fort just after Noon. Motored down to the wreck and pitched a live shrimp around the wreck. No takers. I spotted an old wise Sheephead inside the wreck. Every once in a while he would come out of his hiding place and dart across the wreck. The water temp at the wreck was around 62-3 degrees and the visibility was around six feet so the sheepies were very cautious of my presence. Around 1:00 I gave up and moved to a 20' hole in the channel and pitched a live shrimp to the bottom. WHAM hook-up with a keeper sheepie and into the cooler he went. soon to be joined by his brother. Spent another hour releasing black sea bass, and decided to head toward the hill. stopped just south of Rock Island and started throwing a "gulp" shrimp, third cast, I got a nibble and then a good tug and he was hooked. Into the cooler went a 16" flounder. Gave up and continued to the hill. Off the water by 4:00, home and cleaned and blackened the fish in time for dinner :lick: :lick: :lick:

Wife is starting to understand that I catch fish when I take the boat fishing. :-D :-D :-D

Sorry- no pictures! Forgot the camera and the landing net. :-D

LOL, I love the wife comment. I have the same problem, she is starting to realize I catch fish when I take the boat fishing and not family pleasure boating while wetting a line.
