Blindhog prompted deer thread.

:-D Got in the stand sat 12/02/06 not much happening until 7:30 then a doe comes into the foodplot at a full run, makes loop in the plot then back into the hardwoods. 30 seconds later she does in again. I'm on full alert now but nothing happens for a while...........at 8:00 the doe comes out again but walking this time slowly across the plot from left to the far bottom right. I put the scope on her (I want some more meat in the freezer) just as I'm about to pull the trigger she looks back. I pan the scope to the left and about have a heartattack. In my scope is a big buck. He runs at her and she doubles back. He stops facing me(135 yards away) but looking at her I shot him in the neck and he goes down. He's on his back kicking at air slowly so I get down and ease on down there. Only to fing he is up walking away when I get there, so I shoot him in the neck again and he is down for good. My personal best 180# 10 point 20.5" inside spread Gross 128 net 121.75 :-D Check out the link! http://www.gon.com/page.php?id=125&p=vi ... ry_id=1015

Nice report and it sounds like a really nice buck. I can't access the picture without registering though.

Congratulations

Hit-N-Miss - thats a good story. That doe sure was hot to trot. You cant ask for more than that -- twice the thrill with making the shot twice. Should be a nice wall decoration.
