yamaha 25 hp 4 stroke

probably need to go up to a 40 hp motor but want to try changing the prop out first on this 25. 9-7/8 X 9 on the motor presently and the boat is a maverick 15'. prop seems small-any advice appreciated.

no tach on this skiff. just had the electrical system reworked and i should have had one put on. do you know what the standard prop is?

Don't know the standard, but a portable tach will tell you what the WOT is and you can adjust the prop based on that
