Took my brother-in-law and his seven year old son to the C'belle river for a little trout fishing Saturday morning. Picked up the shrimp and had the boat in the water by 9:00. Just had both motors serviced so I was a little puzzled when neither one would fire. It was cold but, they would both turn over. So after thirty minitues of checking and trying finally figured out the kill switch was pulled about half way out. Did I mention never leave a seven year old unattended in the cockpit for any lenght of time  Finally got to our spot and the action was immediate. Let the boy drift the live shrimp by an oyster bar and in two hours we had gone through five doz shrimp. Kept ten trout from 16"-19" and the probably caught 25-30 reds from 12"-16". No keepers but to a seven year old it doesn't matter

Good job, looks like you got another hooked on fishing.

I know all about the pulled kill switch, my son is ten now. It happened about seven years ago  . I thought I would have to use the trolling motor to get home.
