Aucilla 12-16

We fished Aucilla yesterday despite the low water conditions. We arrived at creek #1, saw lots of fish but only a 22-23 incher cooperated. I asked my partner if he wanted him. He replied hell yes! So in the cooler he went.
Moved over to Long Point, and again saw plenty of fish but only a couple cooperated. They were shy so back in the drink they went.
I had to be home early, but partner convinced me to try one more creek. As we nosed in to they creek, I thought to myself that we sure picked a dud because it appeared to be nothing but flat mud! We pressed on, then it got beautiful. Bellied in the middle with some pretty rock grass, deep holes, and oyster bars.
I found this spot between two bars where they was stacked like cord wood! We pulled one after the other out of this hole. They were all just under 18". I caught 15-16, and my partner caught 10 or so. We moved back further in the creek to check it out, and I caught a couple more, then had to haul-azz home to a pizzed off wife (since it was 4:00, and I told her I'd be home right aftert lunch :smt014 :-D )
Jigs and spoons was all you neaded.

Rocket, that's something everyone needs to know about.

Doug Walker, owner of AAA1 Transmission, on North Monroe Street, stocks Delco Voyager batteries for the local fishermen. He isn't trying to get righ off of them. He's just trying to provide a quality battery to the local fishermen. If you need a battery, check with Doug.
