Sat there at work mid-day on Tuesday and had just had enough. Called the ole lady and told her I'd be back Wednesday night, and hauled azz. Thank goodness she understands. Got down to Spring Warrior Fish Camp after dark and sat out on the front deck and listened to Mr. james Pittman, the owner, talk for a while about the area and some of the local history. By the time I hit the sack, my mind's off work so the trip is already a success.
Idled out in the fog the next morning. I'm beginning to understand what "no water" means. Fished some oysters and rocks and the fish began to get active close to high tide. Caught several reds, most small, 4 keepers. Found my way in a creek after lunch and caught a couple of more nice reds and three good trout. I was beginning to wonder if I was going to see any yellow mouths.
Took out and was back on the road by 2:30, a lot easier to get along with.
Fish fry Thursday night.
