What to wear?

What do you wear this time of year? Have never kayaked in the winter, but planning to go this week out of Econfina. Anyone ever used waders?

Yes, I have used waders but I use the breathable waders. I use them for the flexibility I have moving around in the kayak. If you wear waders, always wear your PFD. If its cold enough to wear waders then it will not hurt to have the extra warmth and safety of that PFD. I have not worn mine but once in this area since the water is so warm around here. I may wear long duck hunting pants that stay warm and keep the wind off, and some Smart Wool socks and wading boots. Remember, you might have to swim or reboard you yak so dress appropriately to do so. I moved here from Virginia and that water is in the 40's sometimes when we are fishing. This is nice here.
