With Uncle NOAA predicting 4-6 footers near shore and 6-8 footers 20-miles out for next Saturday, what are the good bets for fishing around the Apalach area this upcoming weekend?

Wevans, where do you get your wind data from?

I have weatherbug installed at work and home
http://www.weatherbug.com/aws/index.asp . The popup's can be irritating at times, but it is well worth it

You can check the winds, presure, rain, and in some cases, get a live camera veiw of the area within 200 miles of you

Is the station actually on SGI? The last time I checked the closest one was carrabelle HS.

Yep it's on SGI, the sites go up and down, but the SGI one is up most of the time. The one in Carrabelle is pretty usless for fishin winds, due ta being inshore to far! The one on the island is "as a rule" much more accurate than the NOAA sites for winds.

I f ya want the other coast, just pick a Zip over there

The beach cam is located at finnie's resturant right on the gulf. I don't if the wind data is collected from there or not?

The cam at Finnie's is the Beachview.com cam aint it?

Yes it is. I have never walked up there to see if they have the wind gauge though. That data could be collected from the weather station on the causeway between the two bridges.
