Yakking in the fog

I ventured out into the fog on Sunday and was blown away be the experience. It was almost surreal - I could hear sounds and voices but could not see anything but vague outlines of trees and other structures (see pics). I did not have any luck fishing, but I mainly fished in close proximity to the lighthouse even though I had my GPS. I just enjoyed cruising around and taking in the experience.

I stayed out until about 3:00 and I saw a couple more yakkers putting in as I was taking out. I suspect the fog was lifting a bit for them and they still had some incoming tide so hopefully they had some luck.

Overall, it was just great being on the water. :o

I try to fish the conditions, and in those conditions, I stay in the shallow stuff, and hope the airboats stay home.

Airboats......man I never thought about that! Course I don't kayak....yet.

Airboats are obnoxious anyway. :x

Don't even get me started on the damn fanboats.

Know what you mean about the fog seeming surreal, Der. Last Tuesday it was foggy when I was riding my bike to work at 5:30 in the morning. Fog in the dark feels like riding in the Twilight Zone.
