Mono vs fluorocarbon leader

Besides the price, what's the difference in 30lb mono vs fluorocarbon leader?
I just wanted to know what I have been buying with the extra$.

Less visibility and better abrasion resistance.

fluorocarbon sinks - if you're fishing topwaters such as a spook, it could affect the way they respond. If its a short leader, I doubt it would make much difference.

thats the reason I always use 17lb. mono on my topwater reel. The heavy test mono floats and helps the action of your topwater baits.
