Rotary Keepers... Yes Rotary! 12/21 & 12/25

Post by Mako17 »

Hello all!

I've been reading this forum for a couple of months now and feel like it is time for me to contribute- so here goes.

Went out Sunday mid morning out of Mashes and decided it was too sloppy to go out deep so headed to Rotary. Got the first stretch 25 in the water and was working on getting the second one out when the drag started zipping. Pulled up a nice keeper. Twenty minutes later pulled up the second. Water temp never got above 58. Pulled two crabs out of the big ones stomach...I wonder if a live crab on the bottom would produce. Not a bad day for sloppy conditions.

Played sick yesterday and went back out. This time very cold and very sloppy but I figured it was more fun than work! Caught 4 shorts and then big boy pictured below 30". The knife in the pic has an 11" blade. Man he was fun to pull in. The water temp never got above 56. I used the stretch 25 red head both days. The big one hit it so hard he knocked he eye out :o !

Going to make crab stuffed grouper tonight :lick: . If it turns out good I will post recipe.
