Almost didn't go today but decided they are probally not biting at home,so off we go.Knowing it's gonna be rough we are planning on 20-30' sure enuff it's 2-3-4 and sloppy start trolling 25' around 08:30 and troll and troll and troll, get to the 30' line and start south holding the 30' finally catch a 27" gag on the fire tiger around 10:30 then nothin nothin and more nothin move out to 35' with the seas calming ever so slightly to a decent 2-3'. Time to try some good looking bottom for a while with some squid & sardines, work this area very hard to no avail not even a bait stealer is interested. Start trolling back toward the hill when we hit nice lookin bottom in 32' at 14:00 BAM the bite is on fishes is coming to the boat on the mullet stretch 30 & fire tiger (the red head was no good today) keep making the loop keep catchin fish several doubles some short some keepers (2 keepers on the mullet at the same time see the pic) this went on for about 40 minutes and BAM the bite is over. Water temp 55-56, seas rough, weather cold, good time had by all..

The bring home
6-gags 22-27"

Two groupa on the same plug, that's great. I've done it with blues and trout but never seen it with grouper.

Nice job on a cold day.

Oh yea..... very nice trip. Great report and pics. I probably would have missed that last hookup session, just can't hang with the trolling that long. Me thinks I should learn something here..... Thanks.....
