Also, how long of a leader does one need for trout not to be bothered by the braid?

How much longer til it warms up?

Color doesn't matter much as long as you use 12"-15" of flourocarbon leader

I use 13-16 inches of flourocarbon leader and catch more than he^ does.

Quoting bible verses and telling fibs. You should be ashamed, Sapillo.

Like Birdog said, you can use whatever color you want as long as you tip it with some flouro.

Trout isn't bothered by the braid. In-fact using the braid allows your lure to have more action than it does with heavy mono which is a plus if your using flutter baits or DOA's, I've used it for many years

I personally prefer stren super braid over power pro. Stren seems to keep it's color longer, heck I even got JT51 using it now. My preferred color is low-vis green with about a 18 inch leader.

As far as color, I always use green mono (12#)with no leader.

Not to sound funny, But what is Flourocarbon. I have always stuck with mono because it has been successful for me.

Anyone tried the new sufix braid? It is supposed to be the cat;s meow.

I don't use the braids or florocarbon for trout. I use the cajun red and it works very well for me.

I've used all three mentioned. Suffix and Stren are pretty good and seem to hold better than Power Pro. Power Pro seems to loose color and fray easier than the other two.

My first try with the green powerpro I was amazed that the first time it got wet it blead all over my boat. Is is supposed to lose its color that fast?

Yep and it fishes better too. Like a pair of jeans. It will relax and fade. I don't know about all over a boat but there is a little color run off the first time out or through the boat wash.

When it gets older, faded and relaxed its in its prime. It should still breaking at 2X test strength. I back it off one reel and onto another sometimes.

Yeah, you do that. Then you can tie on yellow shoelaces and catch redfish.
