those pipes should go all the way to the floor for support. Run aground pretty hard with the weight of a grown man hitting that console and it wont last too long. Just deck the whole boat like the Texas boys do. Always liked the looks of those. Looks cool though.....get you one chalk

I like it, don't get me wrong, I just think it could of been done a little better...I would of used smaller diameter pipe, like on the poling platform, it holds me standing on it, I'm not standing on the console....I might of made one bigger for rigging....And I wouldn't have used that big arse shifter.

But it's alot easier to critique than to design and build... :-?

Or just get BD to get us an Alum. version of it. He should like it, It's already got an ash tray under the console for his $10 Cgars :-D

May not have had a alternative on the size pipe. Hydro steering, double shifters, and all the electrical. May not have fit in a 1.5 pipe.

I have 2 - 2" pipes with alot of chit running through it, mechanical steering, shifter, throttle, wiring harness forward and rear, trolling motor wires (6 GA), starter wires....and I could still run a few frog hairs down it

That pipe is big

Got to be that size on that boat. Look at it. The front pipes are smaller than the rear. He got no choice.

Kind of surprised he went with a Tohatsu vs. an E-tec. I know the E-tec costs a bit more, but what's a few grand to Flipster?
