Trailer Jack

Do most of you have a galvanized jack on your boat trailers? My Kenner is 1 year old and the jack on the trailer is already rusting. It looks to be just the zinc plated style. I rinse the trailer after every trip so I am suprised that it has corroded so quickly. All of the marine supply stores in the area seem to just carry the zinc plated " corrosion resistant" type. I am planning to replace it with this one from BPS.

Thats the 1 I put on my trailer after going through 2 jacks. Been on there 2 years now and looks great. Gets near the salt around 65 times a year and no rust yet.

This is the only true galvanized jack on the market. All the rest are galv. plate much like the fence post you see in your yard.
The Sea Sense jacks you see in Wally World and Bass Pro are all made in China and are real junk. We (I am in the jack business) have tested all of these jacks and they do not meet the rating they claim. In fact we are selling Bass Pro Shop trailer div the Hot dip galvanized jack to go their own trailers. They will not use the Sea Sense jack on OEM equipment.
Our jack is hot diped. That means the galvanizing is on the inside and outside of the inner tube and the outer tube. The ACME screw is e-coated and all the harware is Marine grade 316 stainless steel. this is not a cheap jack but it is the last swivel jack you will buy.
Not all marine dealers carry this jack in stock but it can be shipped to them in a few days from a local dist.
If anyone is looking for a great jack IM me and I can get you in touch with a dealer that can set you up.

That looks like the one that came on my trailer, had it for over six years and I hope to get at least another year out of it. They are not hard to replace so why spend a fortune on one, just make sure it swivels to a horizontel position.

Mine is fine except for the mounting hardware, which are rusting profusely.
