Did you ever find out anything, Dewey? I would like to fish down there some this summer. Its a pretty easy drive for me.

Still no current report.
I'd guess they are staging in a pre-spawn pattern right now probably in 15-25'.
I think they will try to spawn on this month's full moon.
I've got some bass holes that get pretty good in the latter part of march.
It's boring carolina rig fishing, but it pays off when the day is through.

Eufaula? Did someone say Eufaula?
I've never Crappie fished there, Dew. In fact, I don't suppose I've ever been there when the crappie bite is on. But I do love to snatch bass there. If i had to guess I'd say you were right about the next full moon. I hope you get some good info and tare um up.

I'm not planning on going crappie fishin'. I was looking for some info for a co-worker that wants to go this week-end.
I'll wait until the bass move into my favorite spots and go then.

Talked with a fellow at work who has a place there. He said the Crappie ain't ready yet in his area. I fish a good bit at night around cool branch. It's just about time to start hunting for them.

It is good at nite, 20ft to 18ft, two cranks off bottom with minnows, last trip limited in 3 hrs. we were around the cool branch area. Holler if you see me in 1968 Fabuglass boat green in color usually vhf on 11.

That report sounds like its still pre-spawn.
Most folks like to catch 'em a little shallower.
The guys that I know like to use telescopic fiberglass crappie poles intead of spinning tackle.

Dewya, We went 2 times last week, fished 18-20 first nite and agan limited in app 3 hr. Next nite tried 12-15 and the fish were smaller and it took longer to limit. I think full moon in March will be bedding time.

Dewya must live on the smart side of Sylvester. we still call um Bream Busters on the South end of the County.
This rain ain't going to help the Crappie fishing at all.
