Summerbrooke Golf Course Lake

Snuck off work a little early (gotta love it when the bossman is out of town) and went out to one of the lakes in Summerbrooke. I know someone who lives on the lake and so I borrowed their John boat. I started out throwing a T-rigged plastic lizard and a Zoom fluke working the shoreline, but didn't have any luck. Moved off the shoreline about 30 yards and worked a deeper patch of water with an Orange Senko and immediatly caught one that went 5.2 lbs on the scale. I then moved into a small cove where the water was a little shallower (and warmer) and caught five more using the senko with the biggest of those weighing a little over 2 lbs. The bass weren't on the beds yet, but a few of the smaller bass (I'm assuming they were males) showed signs that they'd been fanning the beds as they had a few red sores on their tails.

As always, I forgot my camera, but I swear within the next few weeks I'll learn how to A) remember a camera and B) post pics.
