March 17 Capt Mikes One Lure Kayak Tournament

Post by jsuber »

What a day. Winds were horrendous 15-30, the water was few and far away. And 15 people wanted to go fishing, but five made the trip. The winner was Buddy Page. He picked up some Bluefish, which was more than anyone else recorded. It was a really horrible day for those that wanted to fish, and I can't do anything about the weather, but thanks to everyone that attended and better luck next time. Three Nash Boys came down from Valdosta, GA and 3 Sunseekers came out from Panama City and one Ernie from Orlando attended. Thanks again, and just be glad you were not one of the two boats that capsized. BOATS, not kayaks. Very rough seas, and rough guys who dealt with them today. Not me.

Hats off to those who got out there. Hopefully water and wind are much better next time.

This was taken around 10:45 and the water was still being blown out.
