I was considering purchasing one of these reels(CT200b), and was interested in knowing if anybody has one and if so, likes/dislikes!

I have the 250 model and love it. Only thing I don't like is I only have one.

Tincan doesn't like them in the winter, cause they are metal and keep his little hands cold :-?

I have an old CT100 (not the B version) and I love it. I have had it for over 10 years now its its almost indestructible.

The new B model has got to be even better with the upgraded features.

If was to buy a Shimano reel that would be the only one I would buy  Just hope you don't need to order parts, it's the worse company to get them from.

I have one and my dad has one (both 200b) and we both LOVE them. I would have a whole fleet if the wallet would allow :smt011

I have the Chronarch 100BSV and prefer the low profile to the Round. One of my friends in VA just got the Curado 300 DSV which has twice the drag (17 lb) and holds lots of line 240 yards of 12 lb test. Both are around $249-$269.

We used the Calcuuta reels on the West coast on Albacore, dolphin, yellowtail and small yellow fin tuna. They are rock solid and are in great favor for those willing to pay the price.

I HAVE THE 50 AND THE 100, SUPER LIGHT AND CAST A TON. ONLY DRAW BACK IS THE PRICE AND LOW GEAR RATIO. I BELIEVE THE 200 HAVE A HIGHER GEAR RATIO. THE HIGHER GEAR RATIO COMES IN HANDY FOR BETTER LINE PICK UP ON THOSE WINDY DAYS, AND ALSO WANT WORK YOU AS HARD RETRIEVING THOSE FASTER SWIM BAITS.

I have the 100B's. They are very durable reels. But, as Chalk said, they hurt my tender little hands in cold weather.

They are worth the money.

People who fish them really seem to love them.  I don't have any experience with them though.

Welcome to the forum rodbender88.

If you're interested in a 100B, I might consider selling mine.

TC, PM me and let me know how much you might want to let it go for. Also let me know what the max test line is and capacity, I did not know that they made a 100 series until you mentioned it. Thank You!
