Howdy! What is everyones favorite winter bait for fishing the flats? I usually fish St. Joe Bay in April and have good sucess with Spooks. Will spooks work in Feruary? Or do plastics and jigs work better? colors/styles??

Man the fish bite so good at Keaton Beach in April that you just need to use a bare hook to catch fish. Can't even think about hanging your feet in the water in April, Trout will bite your toes plum off they bite so good. 
Seriously, I don't think I have a favorite bait for the flats in April except maybe anything topwater. I'm from the old school of using shinner tails most of the time. I do use grubs quite a bit, also stick baits are great in April too in the skinny water.
