Pinfish

Post by groupertrooper »

Hey guys, I was planning an offshore trip this weekend and was wondering what the live bait situation is looking like. I can't remember what time of year the pinfish show up on the flats. Just wondering if any of ya'll have been out there and loaded a livewell lately. Also, hows the grouper fishing been since it opened back up a week ago. Thanks

Saw plenty of pinfish on the flats at Aucilla last week. I would highly recommend taking a few dozen offshore (live of course). It's hard to beat a live pinfish for grouper. I'm going next week to give them a try. Good luck.....

I "snagged" a couple on the flats by the lighthouse last weekend as they were nibbling on the tails of my gulps. :smt012
