I was taught that while fishing in a River, such as The Wakulla River, and say 3 people are in a small boat, and one is a child, you should slow down your boat, until your wake will clear them then resume safe boating speed. Thats what I taught but someone like a guy in a big Aluminum G3 that lives on the Wakulla River, does not see it that way. I think you should do that for anyone on the hook. But ESPECIALLY when they are in a low gunnel boat with a CHILD. I should have taken a picture. I guess I had my chance since he did it two days in a row.
