Hey you guys, I just thought I'd let you know about fishing today instead of just reading everyone's posts. Don and I put in at the fort at 7am and went out to grouper fish. Made it to the bird rack and decided it was too rough. We went south of the bird rack about 3 miles and started chumming for mackerel and it wasn't long til we had mackerel all around us, catching fish every other cast. After about 10am the bites slowed down so we tried catching trout in the rock garden and no bites. After a couple hours of no fish, the waves settled down so we went offshore. Then we ended up catching 2 gag groupers, one 28" and the other was just short, and 1 red grouper that was also just short. We also caught 9 trigger fish and several grunts. So we ended the day w/ 20 mackerel and some of those we used for bait, 1 gag, and 9 trigger. All in all, we didn't do too bad.

Ain't nothing wrong with that catch. Trigger fish are fun to catch and good to eat.
