Does anybody have any experience with this type boat? Mostly interested in the 16ft or 17ft center console.

FP, I googled Alumacraft. Thats a sharp boat. Reminds me of an Xpress.

Why don't you just get a Xpress?

There was a nice aluminum boat for sale in an ad at Ali's Farmers Market. It was either an Alumacraft, or a Xpress.
I did not get the # but the price was only $9000.
Ali's is on the corner of Crump and Hwy 90E in Tallahassee. If I get back by there I'll try to get more info.
The boat looked good in the pic

When you get ready for the Alumacraft, get with me. I have a friend who does a lot of business with me and he is a salesman for Alumacraft. He can save you a lot on a boat as he sales his demos every year. Look into their saltwater series MV tex boats. He has one now and trust me , it is rigged to the max!!!! You can look at a great selection of Alumacraft boats at Carters marine across from my store in Adel. Those guys do a great job and their service is second to none. Theyve got a couple of salt series boats there now. Also, I would take a serious look at an E-tec motor instead of the Yammi. I run an Opti on my boat but I can assure you my next motor will be an E-tec. They are lighter, more efficient, stronger and cost about the same. Darron @ Carters can give you a free DVD on the E-tec. Trust me, once you see the video, you'll want to run one. Good Luck!! :smt004
