Greetings Everyone!
I appreciate being able to join such a diversity of fishermen and women. It is my hope to lend my 30-some odd years of experiences fishing this coastline as well as learn from others more gifted than I am. My philosophy is to learn and return...learn as much expertise as possible and, then, return that information to those in need of the knowledge!
On my company logo of Smart Outdoors, LLC (coming soon) you will see "FISHAVETUSA": That means, I will take any combat veteran, from any of the Armed Services, retired, physically challenged, in the reserve, or on active duty, fishing with me upon request, asap, if my skills and vessel can provide a safe trip!
As "piscatorial Paladin's", my sons and I fish as often as possible, usually on weekends and holidays, but, I have been known to "play hooky" from a part-time job for a day or two - depends on who wants to go and how the fish are biting inshore.
We enjoy light-tackle, shallow-water fishing, trolling, and I, especially, love fly fishing (I used to tie the darn flies, but dropped out of the club a few years ago...now I just buy some when I feel the need)!
My vessel is a 21' 6" Key Largo Bay boat, with 135HP Evinrude E-Tec OB, & Bimini Top - no trolling motor right now...but, my eldest son has one on his Palm Beach vessel!
The boat's name is The Miss Courtney, right now in a wet slip @ Shields Marina, while my youngest son & I finish refitting the trailer...it died horribly soon after I purchased the rig (you know what "they" say about "buyer beware"?
So, here is looking forward to the April 19th meeting to get to know some of you.
Oh, unless someone can talk me into it again..."I don't fish tournaments"-sorry!
