St. Joe Bay
I went to Mexico beach with the family this weekend. Arrived friday evening at the palace to meet BD and his fam. Awoke bright and early to meet a friend at pressnell's. Yes we were followed by BD and Chalk. We decided to idle out so we did'nt spook the fish; only to have this boat fly by us. So we jumped up on plane to give them a piece of our mind. When we caught them I was astounded to see that it was our beloved friends. By the way Chalk thanks for the line in I was'nt sure if i had enough water to run that way
. Anyways we shut down and started a drift. We picked up several trout right away. 19's & 20's. as the water rose we moved inshore a little and picked a few more bigger trout 23" and a couple of 22's. We picked up a double on a sand patch a little later a 25" red & 22" trout. We had a hard time filling a limit the fish were too BIG
. That's a tough problem to have I know
.We finished with 6 trout & the red.

We set to the same area but with redfish in mind. BD hooked first we a good red around 18 we just knew it was on. We finished that drift and set up again with mullet in the distance we proceeded to hook up a doubl. First my fish then BD hooked up almost simultaneously. It was like a chinese fire drill> Bd scrambled for the cam and fought his fish at the same time. He was shooting my fish and i was gonna shoot his we are not sure how that will work. I did' nt get his on cam. After them exictement was over we measured to keepers at the top of the slot. Yes birddogs was bigger but not by much. It was a great short trip we finished up with 8 reds & a good trout 21". Thanks to birddog and the family we had a great time
BD's working on the pict's and maybe a video. thanks to chalk for not running over me in the channel
Good fishing and God bless our beautiful waters. We tend to take them for granted sometimes
