I just purchase a year policy from safeco, 72 dollars.
for boats up to 17 feet and 90 hp.
Didn't look anywhere else just called my agent.
Might be able to better that.

Boat Insurance ?

Check with State Farm. They've been pretty competitive. Don't forget if you take a qualified Boater Safety Course through the CG Auxiliary or U.S Powersquadron you get a decent discount.

I tried Boat U.S. and got a quote of around $800!!! :o :o They said that my 200hp and the fact that I live in FL jacked up their price. Went to State Farm and they run about $230 with a Boater Safety course certification.

I don't know where in Georgia or Carrabelle - I took it in Tallahassee. I would suggest that you check with the Coast Guard Auxilary - I think they are the sponsors.

I took it many, many years ago when I was about 14 or so and my dad was upset about a little boating "incident" that I had been involved in. He said no more boat driving until I finished the class, so I got my azz in there quickly!

As I remember, it was a number of evening classes - perhaps 6 or so. They might have a one day class now.

Good luck!
